Materials Usage Guidelines
Square Enix Co., Ltd. (“SQUARE ENIX”) permits its fans to share certain images ("Images") and gameplay videos ("Videos")(collectively "Materials") of CHRONO TRIGGER (“Game”) online so long as these Guidelines are adhered to. SQUARE ENIX reserves the right to object to any use of the Materials and may submit takedown requests to third parties hosting any such content. With that said, here are some general rules that will guide our decisions:
[Permitted Usage]
The permitted use of the Images and Videos are as follows:
Sharing the Videos (including those containing background music) for non-commercial purposes on video-sharing sites such as YouTube, Niconico, Twitch, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. You can’t require payment to view or access any Materials. However, SQUARE ENIX does allow you to monetise content via advertising through platform-operated programs on YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, and other similar services.
Sharing the Images and URL of the Videos for non-commercial purposes on your personal homepages, blogs, social networking services is permitted. Sharing the Images and URL of the Videos on any homepages, blogs, social networking services owned by a corporation or any type of organization (and not an individual) will be regarded as commercial use and is not permitted.

SQUARE ENIX asks that you please display the following proprietary notices on Images or Videos (collectively, the “Materials”) and any other content that incorporates the Materials:

NOTE: This proprietary notice might already be added automatically when sharing Videos and Images using certain consoles' built-in sharing functions. If so, it is not necessary to add the propriatery notice manually.
NOTE: It is not necessary to include the proprietary notice when posting the Materials to microblogging platforms(such as X (formerly Twitter)).
No spoilers please. In order not to spoil other players’ enjoyment, you must mark all content that includes details of major plot developments with a clear spoiler warning.
You are not permitted to create edited video content or playlists with the goal of showing only cinematic scenes (as opposed to gameplay), or only listening musics, from the Game.
You may not alter or modify the Materials, except:
You may add your own avatars, voice-over, texts, and other generally required in sharing the Materials.
Do not reproduce shared Materials other than as expressly contemplated by these Guidelines. For example, you must not collect and distribute Materials via other media - e.g., in book form.
Do not share Materials on paid sites or services.
Do not use Materials for commercial use, except as part of the partner programs operated by YouTube, Twitch, or similar programs. If the operator of the partner program seeks to confirm our policy, please point them to these Guidelines. Please note that SQUARE ENIX does not address individual requests.
Do not share Materials on the following sites or services:
Please refrain from slandering specific players.
You must immediately comply with any request from SQUARE ENIX to remove Materials from any shared content, regardless of whether SQUARE ENIX provides a reason for the request. SQUARE ENIX reserves the right to require or seek removal of any content incorporating the Materials that it deems to be inappropriate in its sole discretion.
SQUARE ENIX makes no representation and/or guarantee concerning the Materials, including that the Materials will not infringe third party rights. SQUARE ENIX is not responsible and will not compensate you or any third party for any damages or injuries that arise from your use of the Materials.
You must settle disputes with third parties (including other Site or services players), arising as a result of your use of the Materials, at your own responsibility and expense.
If you do not adhere to these Guidelines, SQUARE ENIX may, in addition to objecting to your use of the Materials, temporarily or permanently suspend you from using the Game.
SQUARE ENIX may modify these Guidelines at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice. You may be asked to remove any Materials that no longer comply with the updated Guidelines.
