KINGDOM HEARTS III Premiere Event Features First Playable Demo and New Screenshots

This month has marked the first of many updates from KINGDOM HEARTS III!

For starters, a big batch of new screenshots were revealed a few weeks ago giving a glimpse into all new worlds and game play mechanics.

A special KINGDOM HEARTS III premiere event was held earlier this month in Santa Monica, where fans were invited to get an exclusive look at the upcoming KINGDOM HEARTS III game. This was the first hands-on event we've hosted so needless to say, the excitement was felt weeks before the event even started.

Fans were treated to a panel with special guests, Director Tetsuya Nomura, Executive Producer Shinji Hashimoto, Co-Director Tai Yasue supported by translator Aileen Matsuoka and Square Enix Europe Community Manager Sunil Godhania. Topics covered included exclusive behind the scenes sneak peeks into the development process of the game, returning characters from the franchise and many other exciting updates that were revealed for the very first time.

After the panel, fans were given exclusive access to some gameplay time, where they got to roam around Olympus to battle against the Rock Titan. They also explored the new Toy Story themed Toy Box area alongside Woody, Buzz and other mainstay characters from the Toy Story universe.

To top things off, the one and only King Mickey made a surprise appearance and wowed the crowd with his magical charm.
