Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Fan Festa 2017 New York Event (“Promotion”)

 

This Promotion is being operated and promoted by:

Square Enix Limited registered in England and Wales with company number 01840186 (“Square Enix Europe”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”) with registered address at: 240 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NW

 

The Promotion is only open to holders of an active Square Enix Members account (“SE Members Account”) and an active Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (“FFBE”) service account (“FFBE Service Account”) during the Entry Period who are resident Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom (“Entrants”). Entrants who are residents of France should refer to the Additional Specific Provisions under these Rules.


PLEASE READ THESE RULES (“Rules”) CAREFULLY. By submitting an entry to the Promotion you agree to accept and be bound by these Rules and the terms of any policies referred to in these Rules. We reserve the right to cancel or amend the Promotion at any stage if deemed necessary in our opinion and/or if circumstances arise which are outside of our control.

 

Theme

To celebrate Final Fantasy Brave Exvius’ one year anniversary, Square Enix Europe will be holding an event on 6 October 2017 at New York Comic-Con in Manhattan, New York, United States (“Event”) and will invite up to five hundred (500) attendees. Entrants must register their interest on the FFBE Fan Festa 2017 Registration Website and be subject to a selection process as set out below.

 

Entry Requirements

Entrants must possess an active Square Enix Members Account and FFBE Service Account (no fee required to register) and have access to a working internet connection and web browser in order to be able to enter. Entrants are responsible for all connection charges associated with the internet connection. Entrants must ensure that their contact information is correct at the time of registration for a Square Enix Members Account, during and after submission of their entry.

 

By participating in the Promotion, Entrants are deemed to have accepted our privacy policy and cookies policy. Entrants must have a permanent residence in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age to enter the Promotion. The Promotion is not open to employees, directors or other officers of Square Enix Europe or its respective affiliates, agents, media partners and suppliers.

 

 

How to Enter

Entrants must access the FFBE Fan Festa New York 2017 Registration Website here, log in with their SE Members Account and then complete the registration form with the following details:

  • FFBE Service Account identification number.
  • A description of the Entrant’s passion for the FFBE (a maximum of 2,000 characters).
  • Confirmation of attendance to New York Comic-Con.

 

 

Only one entry per person. An FFBE Service Account identification number may not be used to enter the Promotion more than once. Entries cannot be edited after submission.

 

Prizes

We will invite five hundred (500) Winners to the attend the Event.  Approximately retail value of $10.00 USD per ticket.

 

The Prize does not include airfare or other travel costs, accommodation, or any other out-of-pocket expenses, and the Winner will be solely responsible for such costs.

 

Prizes are not transferable (exceptions shall be at the sole discretion of Square Enix Europe). Square Enix Europe shall not provide substitutions or cash alternative in place of any Prize.

 

Entry Period

8 August 2017 12:00AM (Pacific) to 23 August 2017 11:59PM (Pacific)

 

Winner Selection

The FFBE Community Team will select Entrants with the most compelling description of his/her passion for the Game (“Winner(s)”).

 

The Winner will be contacted through the e-mail address registered on his/her Square Enix Members Account on or around 8 September 2017 (“Announcement Date”) and will receive an invitation and instructions for entry to the Event. The Winner must reply to the notification message within 48 hours (or any other period of time specified by Square Enix Europe) of the Announcement Date and provide confirmation of his/her attendance and Guest attendance to the Event. If the Winner fails respond within the time allotted by Square Enix Europe, or if the Winner is not contactable via e-mail at the time Square Enix Europe attempts to send the notification message, the Winner shall be deemed ineligible and Square Enix Europe may select another Entrant as the Winner.

 

Square Enix Europe may publicly announce the name, username, and/or other identifying information about the Winner of the Promotion, on Square Enix Europe’s social media platforms, and/or elsewhere. 

 

Please note that the Event shall be recorded by Square Enix Europe and by attending the Event you consent to being photographed and recorded which may be used on Square Enix Europe’s social media platforms, and/or elsewhere.

 

Inappropriate Submissions

Entries containing obscenity, vulgarity, discrimination, or any other offensive subject matter and/or containing any plagiarized or copyrighted material will not be considered by the judges. Entries which infringe upon copyright/intellectual property, personal credit, privacy, are counter to public order and/or morals, are judged to be grossly deviant from the established theme, do not contain all of the required information or contain erroneous information may face disqualification. Square Enix Europe reserves the right to judge whether or not material is appropriate for public display.

 

Additional Specific Provisions

Entrants resident in FRANCE:

In accordance with the 6th January 1978 data protection and freedom of information law n° 78-17, we inform you that you have the right to access, rectify and delete information concerning you, by requesting it in writing to the Promoter.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW SQUARE ENIX EUROPE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ENTRY THAT IS SUBMITTED TO THE PROMOTION THAT INFRINGES THE COPYRIGHT OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF A THIRD PARTY. YOU WARRANT AND AGREE THAT YOUR ENTRY WILL CONTAIN WORK THAT IS ENTIRELY ORIGINAL TO YOU AND DOES NOT INFRINGE OR INTERFERE WITH ANY THIRD PARTY COPYRIGHT OR OTHER RIGHTS AND YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY SQUARE ENIX EUROPE AGAINST ANY LOSS ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF YOUR WARRANTY.

 

In the event that an entry violates a third-party’s copyright, the user’s Square Enix Members Account or FFBE Service Account may be suspended or cancelled. All entries and other materials (the "Entry Materials") (including all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith) submitted by you become the property of Square Enix Europe upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any entrant. In consideration of our acceptance and review of your Entry Materials into the Promotion, you hereby assign to Square Enix Europe absolutely all right, title and interest for the full duration of copyright in and to the Entry Materials throughout the world. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge that Square Enix Europe will own all rights to use, modify, and make derivative works of the Entry Materials, without separate compensation to you or any other person or entity. You agree to take, at Square Enix Europe's expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Square Enix Europe to effect, perfect, or confirm Square Enix Europe's ownership rights as set forth above in this paragraph. Entry Materials may be used by entrants only for purposes of the Promotion or for private, personal, non-public viewing. Entry materials received by Square Enix Europe may be destroyed by Square Enix Europe at any time following the Promotion.

 

Governing Law

These Rules and all or any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
