SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD (“Square Enix”) is delighted to receive requests to share videos and images from our games online.
While we would like to accommodate such requests, the images, videos, characters, music and all other media are intellectual properties of us or our licensors, therefore we have set out guidelines regarding the use of videos and other assets created using our games in order to continue protecting the lore of our games in future.
Regarding the use of videos, live streams, and images (“Videos etc.”) of BRAVELY DEFAULT FLYING FAIRY HD Remaster (“Game”), please adhere to the terms of these guidelines (the “Guidelines”).
Applicable Users
Individual users living outside Japan (including those who receive payment or other rewards from a corporate body through streaming gameplay). if you are located in Japan or have obtained a Japanese version of the Game, please check the different guidelines that apply to you.
* Use of the Materials by a corporate body (e.g. a company or brand) or solely acting under a corporate body name is not permitted.
* These Guidelines may not apply to those who posts the Videos to promote the Game subject to separate agreement with Square Enix.
What can be used
The Game content that can be used in Videos in accordance with these Guidelines (the “Materials”) are as follows:
*However, the Materials exclude the following.
- Sections within the Game where the music ”Love in the Crossfire! [Long Version]” is used (Henceforth referred to as “this music track”).
The original version of this music track has been granted to PONY CANYON INC. by the rights holder and any uploading of videos featuring the track to the internet or live broadcasting of it is prohibited.
This music track is only used in one of the mini-games.
*The version of "Love in the crossfire" that is played during the game's main story is an exception and is not included under this restriction.
*It is permitted to broadcast videos in a manner that does not include this music track.
For example, it is still permitted to play the mini-game where the track is featured in videos or live broadcasts if the BGM has been switched off from the configuration menu, meaning that the relevant music is not played.

- personal social network services, personal web pages, blogs, video sharing sites (providing they are not monetised in any way).
- video streaming sites (e.g. “YouTube”, “Twitch”) that have been licensed by the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (“JASRAC”) regarding the use of music.
*Please do not use on the sites and services below:
- Sites or services that require payment to access
- Sites or services that are only for users aged 18 or over
- Sites or services that are infringe standards of public moral decency
- Sites or services that are related to religious, political or antisocial activities
Terms of Use
Please do not use the Videos etc. for commercial purposes.
However, revenue systems officially provided for content creators by video streaming sites (e.g. “YouTube”, “Twitch”) that have been licensed by JASRAC regarding the use of music can be used. If there is an inquiry from the video sharing site regarding videos and live streams that use the revenue systems, please refer them to these guidelines.
- For all use of the Materials, including posts and streams, please display the legal line below:

If an image or video is captured using the features in a game console, the lines above may be displayed automatically. If you are using these images or videos as-is, then the legal lines do not need to be added manually.
- Do not delete or alter any legal notices included with the Materials.
- On platforms that have very limited space for text, such as X (formerly Twitter), you do not need to display the legal notices.
- If multiple images or videos are included in the same page, then one set of legal lines can be displayed to cover all content on that page, rather than individually for each image or video.
- Mark content with a “spoiler warning” for major points in the game’s story to prevent ruining the experience for people who have not played it yet.
- Posting, streaming, or publishing the following Videos etc. or playlists in the format listed below is forbidden. The Company may, at its sole discretion, delete applicable Videos etc. or playlists or collect royalties through the platformer’s monetization function.
Examples of Videos etc. that are forbidden from posting:
- Where the content is mostly or entirely taken from movie scenes (including event scenes and following the same definition in all cases henceforth).
- Publishing multiple still images from movie scenes consecutively, for the sole purpose of showing the content of said movie scenes.
- Where the main purpose is to deliver the music. This includes content that allow viewers to continuously listen to music data included in the Game through actions not in line with regular gameplay, such as only showing a still image background or making the player character stand still or continuously repeat a simple action while music is playing, or encouraging viewers to listen to the game music in isolation by adjusting the relative volumes of voices and sound effects.
- Do not combine the Materials with third party content originating outside of the Game.
- Please refrain from secondary use of Materials that have already been published. e.g. collecting already published videos etc. and distributing them through a different medium, such as in a booklet. Such activities are considered as secondary use, regardless of whether the content is provided for free or charged for.
- Do not use the Videos etc. to promote anything, including other products or services.
- You must comply with the applicable platform’s terms of use.
- Do not slander other players or any other person.
- Do not use the Videos for any purposes that run contrary to standards of public moral decency.
- Do not use the Videos for any religious / political / antisocial activities.
- If Square Enix requests for any Videos etc. posted by you to be taken down for whatever reason, please comply and take them down without delay. Square Enix may also delete any such posts etc. that it judges to be inappropriate.
- If you are posting the Videos etc. in which another player's name or Game account ID is displayed, you are responsible for obtaining the player's permission before posting the Videos etc. If you are unable to obtain permission, please mosaic or otherwise anonymise the name in question.
- Please do not process or modify the Materials.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, you may modify the Materials if:
- you mosaic or anonymise other players names or Game account IDs in the Videos etc.
- you add your own voiceover showcasing or commenting on the Game to the Videos etc.
- you combine multiple different sections of the Materials in the Videos etc.
- Please be careful with revealing your Game account ID. For example, your Game account ID may be displayed when visiting the in-game purchase pages.
- Do not publish Videos etc. or other information where other users' names or Game account IDs are displayed.
Unless Square Enix expressly permits, publication and/or dissemination of any posts related to the Game that is not permitted under these Guidelines is strictly prohibited.
The above shall include, but is not limited to, the followings:
- Posts published and/or disseminated before the official release date of the Game that contain any information that cannot be obtained without playing the Game (including about the game content and the gameplay footage and images).
- Posts that contain content or information that does not fall under the scope of "the Materials" as defined in these Guidelines.
- Posts that contain content or information shared or disclosed without Square Enix’s permission, such as leaked content or information.
Square Enix reserves the right to remove, delete or take other legal action against any posts in its sole discretion.
Other
- Square Enix makes no guarantees concerning the Materials, including that the Materials will not infringe third party rights. Square Enix will not compensate you or any third party for any damages or disputes with third parties, including other players, that arise as a result of any use of the Materials.
- Square Enix may modify these Guidelines in its sole discretion at any time. If Videos etc. that were posted before the guidelines have been updated do not meet the terms of the guidelines after the update, the affected Videos may be deleted retroactively.
- If you fail to follow these Guidelines when posting the Videos, you may be temporarily or permanently suspended from using the Game (as determined by Square Enix in its sole discretion.
