BRAVELY DEFAULT FLYING FAIRY HD Remaster - Online Services Guidelines

These Online Services Guidelines ("Guidelines") are established to provide terms that apply to the use of the online functions ("Service") of BRAVELY DEFAULT FLYING FAIRY HD Remaster ("Game") provided by Square Enix Co., Ltd. ("Company").

You can use the Service by agreeing to these Guidelines. In the event of any conflict between these Guidelines and other terms and conditions related to the Game or the Service, these Guidelines shall prevail with respect to the Service.

In the event of any conflict between these Guidelines and the Square Enix Terms of Service, the Square Enix Terms of Service shall prevail with respect to the Service.

For Minors

If you are a minor, you may only use the Services if your guardians agree to these Guidelines. If you are under the age of 15, you must agree to these Guidelines together with your guardians.

Online Service

  1. The Service is provided through your Nintendo Switch™ 2 account ("Account").
  2. The following information will be disclosed to other players when using the Service:
  • Account icon (*1)
  • Username (*1)
  • In-game language settings
  • Comments (*2)
  • Special move names (*2)
  • Catchphrases (*2)
  • Character equipment, levels, parameters, scores of mini games

*1 Icons and usernames used in the Account
*2 Optional items entered by you in the Game

Prohibited Actions

You must not engage in the following prohibited actions when using the Service. If Company determines that you have violated these Guidelines, Company is entitled to take measures such as suspending or restricting your use of the Service, or excluding you from rankings, or any other measures that Company deems appropriate.

  1. Cause trouble with other players.
  2. Harassment or nuisance to Company or other players.
  3. Crimes or crime-related activities.
  4. Acts that discriminate, insult, slander, libel, defame, discredit, harass, offend, denounce or criticise others.
  5. Use of words that are against public order and morals.
  6. Commercial, business, advertising, political, or religious activities.
  7. Acts with the intention of encountering or dating with strangers.
  8. Post personal information or identifiable information.
  9. Anti-social or immoral actions that may negatively impact others.
  10. Impersonate and/or take action that might reasonably be mistaken as the acts of Company, Company employees, or third parties.
  11. Acts that bring disadvantage to Company or the Game.
  12. Interfere with the operation or use of the Game.
  13. Infringe ownership, intellectual property (copyright, trademark, etc.) rights, honour, credit, privacy of others.
  14. Modify, reverse engineer, analyse the Game programs, or use/upload unauthorised tools and modified data of the Game.
  15. Any other actions which Company, in its sole discretion, deems inappropriate.

Service Interruption

Company may temporarily suspend the Service without prior notice to you when:

  1. Company conducts emergency maintenance of the Game.
  2. Company cannot provide the Service for reasons attributable to the platform.
  3. Company, in its sole discretion, deems that temporary suspension is necessary.

Disclaimer

  1. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICES, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICES WILL WORK PROPERLY AND SAFELY. COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE NON-VIRUS, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR FREE.
  2. Company will not be responsible for issues arising from actions or omissions of third parties, such as telecommunications carriers or electricity providers.
  3. You are solely responsible for resolving disputes arising in connection with the Service with other players or third parties, at your own expense and responsibility.
  4. Company will not be held liable for any disadvantages suffered by you in connection with the Service that are caused by your own actions or omissions except for reasons attributable to Company.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from or related to the Service (including special, indirect, incidental, consequential damages, data loss, profit loss, opportunity loss, etc.). Even if Company is legally liable to you, the maximum amount of liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the Game. The Foregoing limitation shall not apply to any damage arising due to any intentional or gross negligence of Company.

Changes to These Guidelines

Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change the contents of these Guidelines at any time as necessary. Company will notify you of such changes, effective date, and other necessary matters through the website or the other appropriate ways at its sole discretion.
