Square Enix Co., Ltd ("Square Enix”) is delighted to hear that fans want to share videos and images of our games online.

While Square Enix would like to accommodate such requests, the images, videos, characters, music and all other media that make up our games are the intellectual property of Square Enix or its licensors. In order to suitably maintain and protect the settings and stories of Square Enix’s games, Square Enix has set out individual guidelines regarding the use of videos and other assets from each of its games on a title-by-title basis.

Please adhere to the terms of these guidelines in relation to the use of videos, live streaming, and images ("Content”) of KILLER INN (the "Game”).

【Parties Permitted to Use the Materials】

Individual users residing in Japan, including those who receive a salary or other compensation from a corporation by streaming gameplay.

【Game Materials】

Content that may be used in accordance with these Guidelines (the "Materials”) are as follows:

• Text, information, images, and video footage published on the Game’s official website, listed below:
  https://www.square-enix.com/killer-inn/en-gb/
• Text displayed in the Game; screenshots and videos taken in-game
• Audio tracks and music data from the Game.

However, the following are excluded:

• Parts in the game that are designated as areas where recording or filming are not permitted.

【Permitted Uses】

• (1) For Individuals who receive a salary or other compensation from a corporation by streaming gameplay:
  • Use on social networking services under your personal name.
  • Sharing Materials on video sharing sites (such as YouTube and Twitch).
• (2) For Individuals who do not fall under (1):
  • Use of Materials on personal web sites, blogs, video sharing sites, social networking services, etc. However, if streaming videos or streaming live, you are limited to streaming on video sharing sites (such as YouTube and Twitch).

【Prohibitions】

• The Materials may not be used under a corporate name.
• Do not share Materials on the following sites or services:
  • A site or service which requires payment to access or use
  • A site or service which is limited to viewers 18 years and older
  • A site or service which goes against public order and standards of decency
  • A site or service which is affiliated with religious / political / antisocial activities
• Do not use the Materials for commercial or for-profit purposes.
  However, you may use official monetisation functions available through video sharing sites (such as YouTube and Twitch).
• Posting, streaming, publication, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Posts, etc.”) of videos, etc. or playlists as listed below are prohibited. Square Enix or a third party contracted by Square Enix may require removal of the post or collect usage fees through the platform's monetisation function.
  • Posting or streaming only (or primarily) movie scenes (including cutscenes. The same applies to below)
  • Consecutively posting a large number of images from movie scenes, with the sole (or primary) intention of providing the Game’s movie scenes for viewing.
  • Posting with the sole intention of providing audio tracks and/or music data as standalone content.
    *Videos posted primarily for the purpose of providing music as standalone content include those that enable continuous viewing/listening of the Game's music data without featuring standard gameplay progression, such as using still images as a background, keeping playable characters motionless, adjusting voices and sound effects to encourage listening to the BGM, and repeating simple actions.
• Do not use the Materials in combination with third party content.
• Do not reproduce shared content.
  • Example: You cannot collect and distribute Materials shared in video format, etc. via other media —e.g., in book form— even if you do not stand to gain financially from doing so.
• Do not use the Materials to promote anything, including other products or services.
• Do not violate the applicable platform’s terms of use.
• Do not engage in any conduct that may lead to the slander of others.
• Do not use the Materials in a manner that violates public order and standards of decency.
• Do not use Materials it in connection with religious, political, or antisocial activities.
• Do not excessively modify or alter the Material. However, you may create content that combines the Materials, or incorporate an overlay of your own voice commentating on the Game into your video.
• Avoid sharing personally identifiable information. If you decide to disclose your own ID, please do so at your own risk. When purchasing in-game currency, the account ID of the platform you are using may be displayed. Please be aware of this.

【Attribution】

Please display the following legal lines when posting/streaming:

The company names/product names/system names, etc., listed here are trademarks or registered trademarks held by each company.

If an image or video is captured using the features in a game console, the lines above may be displayed automatically. If you are using these images or videos as-is, you do not need to display them yourself.

• Do not delete or alter any legal notices included with the Materials.
• On platforms that have limited space for text, such as X, you do not need to display the legal notices.
• If multiple images and/or videos are posted on a single page, you may display the legal notices collectively in one place for the entire page, rather than with each individual image or video.

【Other】

• You must immediately comply with any request from Square Enix to remove Materials regardless of whether Square Enix provides a reason for the request or not. Square Enix reserves the right to require removal of any content incorporating the Materials that it deems to be inappropriate in its sole discretion.
• Square Enix makes no guarantees concerning the Materials, including that the Materials will not infringe third party rights. You are responsible for following these Guidelines when livestreaming and posting content that incorporates the Materials. Square Enix will not compensate you for any damages or injuries, or for disputes with third parties, including other players, that arise as a result of use of the Materials.
• Square Enix reserves the right to modify these Guidelines at any time and in its sole discretion. In the event that a video or other content posted prior to the update of the Guidelines does not meet the conditions of use set forth in the updated Guidelines, Square Enix may require removal of the applicable Video, etc.
• If you fail to follow these Guidelines when using the Materials, you may be temporarily or permanently suspended from using the Game.
