OFFICIAL RULES (THE “PROMOTION”)
KEY RULES
A. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both (i) these key rules summarising the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”) and (ii) the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence. Please review the Additional Rules at the following URL:
B. Territories: This Promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents and physically and permanently located in one of the following countries/territories at the date and time of entry (the “Promotion Jurisdiction”):
- The fifty (50) states of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
- Canada (excluding Quebec).
- The United Kingdom (excluding the British Overseas Territories), Germany, and France (excluding Overseas France).
C. Age Limit: This Promotion is open only to individuals 18 years of age or older at the date and time of entry.
D. Entry Period: You may enter the Promotion only between 13 November 2020 at 07:59 AM (GMT) and 1 December at 07:59 AM (GMT) (the “Entry Period”).
E. Entry Procedure and Limitations: In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:
For the fan art (the “Fan Art Category”):
- You must have or sign up for a Twitter or Facebook account (accounts are available for free).
- You must then follow https://twitter.com/reuniverse_en on Twitter or
https://facebook.com/saga.reuniverse.en on Facebook.
- Create an illustrated (digital only) piece of art themed from anything in the SaGa series (the “Artwork”). The Artwork can be illustrations, manga, and/or any other digital art.
i. Digital images of the Artwork must be either jpg, .png, .pdf, and/or .gif. The file must be less than 30 MB and must be high resolution. Entrants may use image editing software to alter, enhance or otherwise style their entries.
ii. The file name of your Artwork must use the following naming convention:
Name of work_Your pseudonym.
- Upload your Artwork to the submission site at sqex.to/SaGaSoul_form, including:
i. The name of your work; and
ii. Your name and email.
- You must then, depending on the social media account you followed, either retweet the Promotion tweet on Twitter, and/or like and comment on the Promotion post on Facebook with the hashtag #SaGaSoulContest.
For the cosplay (the “Cosplay Category”):
- You must have or sign up for a Twitter or Facebook account (accounts are available for free).
- You must then follow https://twitter.com/reuniverse_en on Twitter or
https://facebook.com/saga.reuniverse.en on Facebook.
- Take a photo or video with your cosplay themed from anything in the SaGa series (the “Cosplay Entry”).
i. If submitting a photo of your Cosplay Entry (the “Photo”): Digital images of the Photo of your Cosplay Entry must be either .jpg, .png, .pdf, and/or .gif. The file must be less than 30 MB and must be high resolution. Entrants may use image editing software to alter, enhance or otherwise style their entries.
ii. If submitting a video of your Cosplay Entry: The video of the Cosplay Entry (the “Video”) must be uploaded onto Youtube. You must provide a Youtube link to your Video, set the Video to "public", and use the tags "#SaGa RS" and #SaGaSoulContest.
iii. The file name of your Photo and/or Video must use the following naming
convention: Name of work_Your pseudonym.
- Upload your Photo and/or Video to the submission site at sqex.to/SaGaSoul_form, including:
i. The name of your work;
ii. Your name and email; and
iii. Only if you submitted a Video – the YouTube link to your Video.
- You must then, depending on the social media account you followed, either retweet the Promotion tweet on Twitter, and/or like and comment on the Promotion post on Facebook with the hashtag #SaGaSoulContest.
F. Winner Selection: The Sponsor (listed below), or Sponsor’s designee, shall select seven (7) winners from among all entries using the following methodology:
For the Fan Art / Cosplay Award:
Sponsor shall select two (2) winners, one (1) Artwork and one (1) Cosplay Entry, based on the (i) technical quality of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry, (ii) originality of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry, (iii) creativity of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry, and (iv) artistic elements of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry.
For the #1 Idea Award:
Sponsor shall select two (2) winners, one (1) Artwork and one (1) Cosplay Entry, based on the (i) technical quality of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry, (ii) originality of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry, (iii) creativity of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry, and (iv) artistic elements of the Artwork and Cosplay Entry.
For the Total Popularity Award:
Three (3) winners, from the three (3) most popular entries and from across all entries (including both Artwork and Cosplay Entries), shall be selected by public vote. The public vote shall operate as follows:
- Eligible entries will be viewable at sqex.to/SaGa_vote for Artwork and Photos, and sqex.to/SaGa_vote for Videos, and each will have an assigned number (an “Entry Number”).
- Individuals will cast their votes at sqex.to/SaGa_vote indicating their choices by including the appropriate Entry Number(s), and individuals may vote for multiple entries (collectively a “Vote Submission”).
- Each individual is only allowed to submit one (1) Vote Submission. Subsequent Vote Submissions submitted by the same individual will be invalid.
- In the event of a tie, Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee shall have sole discretion in determining how to break the tie.
G. Prize(s): Each winner shall receive each of the following prize(s):
For the “Fan Art Master Award”, one Artwork winner and one Cosplay winner will each receive:
- One (1) Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe Press Kit (approximate retail value of $100.00 USD / €85,00 EUR / £78.00 GBP)
- At winner’s selection, one (1) digital Steam copy of either Romancing SaGa 2, Romancing SaGa 3 or SaGa Scarlet Grace (approximate retail value of $24.99 USD / €22,00 EUR / £19.00 GBP, $28.99 USD / €25,00 EUR / £22.00 GBP, and $29.99 USD / €26,00 EUR / £23.00 GBP respectively)
- One (1) Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe Clear Files (approximate retail value of $17.00 USD / €14,00 EUR / £13.00)
- One Thousand Five Hundred (1,500) Jewels (Jewels are a virtual in-game currency for Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe with no real-world value)
- Five (5) Platinum Summon Tickets (Tickets are virtual in-game items for Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe with no real-world value)
For the “#1 Idea Award”, one (1) Artwork winner and one (1) Cosplay winner will each receive:
- One (1) Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe Lightbulb Plush (approximate retail value of $37.00 USD / €32,00 EUR / £29.00)
- At winner’s election, one (1) digital Steam copy of either Romancing SaGa 2, Romancing SaGa 3 or SaGa Scarlet Grace (approximate retail value of $24.99 USD / €22,00 EUR / £19.00 GBP, $28.99 USD / €25,00 EUR / £22.00 GBP, and $29.99 USD / €26,00 EUR / £23.00 GBP respectively)
- One (1) Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe Clear Files (approximate retail value of $17.00 USD / €14,00 EUR / £13.00 GBP)

- At winner’s election, one (1) digital Steam copy of either Romancing SaGa 2, Romancing SaGa 3 or SaGa Scarlet Grace (approximate retail value of $24.99 USD / €22,00 EUR / £19.00 GBP, $28.99 USD / €25,00 EUR / £22.00 GBP, and $29.99 USD / €26,00 EUR / £23.00 GBP respectively)

Each eligible participant shall receive the following prize:
- One (1) digital badge (this item has no retail value)
- Ten (10) stamina (Large) (stamina is a virtual in-game resource for Romancing SaGa Re;universe with no real-world value)
H. Winner Notification: Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, will notify winners by or about January 15, 2021 via email.
I. Sponsor: The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix, Inc.
By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
