Today we wanted to take a look at something… cuter - FINAL FANTASY VII Action Dolls.
You may have seen Cloud and company before, but never quite this huggable - they really put the ‘awww’ in adorable. They are also poseable so you recreate many of your favourite scenes!

FINAL FANTASY VII ACTION DOLL - CLOUD STRIFE
It only makes sense to start at the main man himself - Cloud Strife. The former SOLDIER looks a little softer than his in-game counterpart, but no less likeable.
Of course, what would the merc be without his iconic Buster Sword? Cloud’s action doll comes with the famous blade included, and it can be stuck on his back or held in his hand. Yes - that means you can recreate scenes from the game in the cutest way possible.

FINAL FANTASY VII ACTION DOLL - AERITH GAINSBOROUGH
With her big smile and bigger eyes, Aerith makes for a particularly charming action doll.
Armed with her Guard Stick - which can be held or removed depending on preference - Aerith has a range of movement available so she can be posed in many different ways. What’s more, like all FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE action dolls, she can even stand up on her own - no awkward wall-leaning necessary!

FINAL FANTASY VII ACTION DOLL - TIFA LOCKHART
Tifa really puts the ‘action’ in action doll. This strong-willed martial artist packs a punch in FINAL FANTASY VII, and she’s just as energetic and powerful in action doll form. Just a bit… fuzzier.
She’s almost as limber as the real thing too - the action doll’s movable joints mean you can position her in tons of different ways. Maybe you want to recreate her distinctive run, or pose her as if about to deliver a powerful kick to her foes. It’s all up to you.

FINAL FANTASY VII ACTION DOLL - SEPHIROTH
Speaking of foes, here comes the most oddly lovable versions of Sephiroth you’ll ever see.
This wonderfully fuzzy version of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE’s big bad is impressively detailed, accurately capturing most elements of Sephiroth’s distinctive look - from his flowing hair to his intimidating ensemble.
And let us not forget his sword. How could we - the Masamune is as iconic as Cloud’s Buster Sword. Rest assured that it’s included with the Sephiroth Action Doll and can be held or removed as needed.

Two more beloved characters from FINAL FANTASY VII are becoming action dolls - and unlike the previous set, they’re already pretty fuzzy. These aren’t available yet, but are coming to the Square Enix Store very soon…
FINAL FANTASY VII ACTION DOLL - RED XIII
Red XIII is famously what you see before you, nothing more.
Fortunately, what you see before you in this case is an awesomely expressive action doll that will melt even the sternest hearts.
The level of detail on this perfect plushie is second to none. From his distinctive tattoos to his flaming tail, the personality of Red XIII is perfectly captured, making it ideal for any fans of the character.
Which, we assume, is anyone who’s played FINAL FANTASY VII.

FINAL FANTASY VII ACTION DOLL - CAIT SITH
Finally, we have one of my personal favorites: Cait Sith.
Somehow the wizards that designed this action doll have made this crown-wearing feline even cuter than the original game. He definitely retains the same personality though, with his crown and megaphone represented in super-soft form.
Like the other dolls, Cait Sith can be posed in a myriad of different ways. Unfortunately there’s no giant moogle for him to ride - but you could have him sit atop Red XIII for some real FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN vibes.

That was just a quick rundown of these profoundly poseable plushies. And it’s not just FINAL FANTASY VII that has inspired action dolls - there are variants on the way from other Square Enix series that you may recognise.
For example take a look at these adorable androids from NieR:Automata:
NIER:AUTOMATA ACTION DOLL YORHA NO. 2 TYPE B
YoRHa No. 2 Type B - or 2B as you probably know her - is a rather commanding action doll.
The fine details on the doll’s clothes and body are taken directly from NieR:Automata, and this coupled with the ability to pose her in multiple ways makes for a remarkably expressive figure.
She’s due for release later this year, as is her companion 9S. Speaking of which…

9S joins the action doll family later this year - and in fine form too!
From his distinctive hair to his necklace and embroidered jacket, all the charm and personality of the character is precisely captured.
His wide range of movement and ability to stand on his own two feet will make him a marvelous addition to any shelf or surface.
