Final Fantasy XIII Twitch stream and exclusive goodies giveaway!
As I'm sure many of you are very aware of, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy will be making its debut on Steam next Friday!
Well, to mark one week till its launch, Dan and I will be playing the first couple of hours of Final Fantasy XIII on the Square Enix Twitch channel this Friday at 6pm GMT / 10am Pacific. Drop by and join us as we chat about and relive memories from the first game in the trilogy. As with all our broadcasts, we'll of course be involving you as much as possible and will also be running some awesome giveaways on the side…

We'll be giving away some Final Fantasy XIII art prints, Play Arts KAI figurines of Lightning and Vanille, Steam keys for Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 as well as three Final Fantasy XIII posters signed by Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Motomu Toriyama.
It's really quick and easy to enter the competition - First of all, make sure you're following the Twitch Square Enix Channel. Then, once we're live on air and running a giveaway, just send the line !giveaway via the chat and you'll be in the running to win the current prize. We'll then announce the winner of each giveaway during the stream. Make sure to stick around, because if you do win something, you'll have to confirm your shipping address within 10 minutes or we may have to redraw the prize. Please also make sure that you've read the terms and conditions posted just under this blog before you enter!
Regrettably, we are only able to run this competition in the US, Canada (excluding Quebec) and the UK. We're still planning on adding more eligible countries to our giveaways and will continue to work towards this. In the meantime, please only enter the giveaway if you're from one of the regions listed above - that being said, it'd be awesome to have Final Fantasy fans from all over the world join us!

The Sweepstakes is only open to holders of an active Twitch Interactive, Inc. (“Twitch”) account (“Twitch Account”) (registration is free) between 04 December 2015 6:00pm GMT and 04 December 2015 8:30pm GMT who are resident in the United Kingdom (the “Territory”). Residents of jurisdictions other than the United Kingdom may also be eligible to enter the Sweepstakes under rules applicable to those residents’ jurisdictions if Square Enix Europe or one of its affiliates has posted such rules.
PLEASE READ THESE RULES (“Rules”) CAREFULLY. By submitting an entry to the Sweepstakes you agree to accept and be bound by these Rules and the terms of any policies referred to in these Rules. We reserve the right to cancel or amend the Sweepstakes at any stage if deemed necessary in our opinion and/or if circumstances arise which are outside of our control.
<u>Entry Requirements</u>
Entrants must possess an active Twitch Account and have access to a working internet connection and web browser in order to be able to enter. Entrants are responsible for all connection charges associated with the internet connection and any fees associated with the registration for a Twitch Account (accounts are available for free). Entrants must ensure that their contact information is correct at the time of registration for their Twitch Account, during and after submission of their entry.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants are deemed to have accepted our privacy policy and cookies policy located here. Entrants must have a permanent residence in the Territory. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age to enter the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is not open to employees, directors or other officers of Square Enix Europe or its respective affiliates, agents, media partners and suppliers.
<u>How to Enter</u>
There is no purchase necessary to enter or win the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received.
During the Sweepstakes period, Square Enix Europe shall host one or more live streams on Twitch at http://www.twitch.tv/squareenix (each, a “Live Stream”). Square Enix Europe will publicly announce the specific date and time for each Live Stream in advance. Square Enix Europe reserves the right to not hold a particular Live Stream, or to change the date or time of a particular Live Stream.
During the Live Streams, Square Enix Europe will announce eight (8) Sweepstakes entry periods (each, a “Sweepstakes Entry Period”).
To enter the Sweepstakes, an entrant must be present in the Live Stream in the Twitch chat window during one of the Sweepstakes Entry Periods and post the phrase “!Giveaway” in the Twitch chat window during a Sweepstakes Entry Period (an “entry”).
Square Enix Europe will, in its sole discretion, determine the valid and official entry time should any discrepancies of time occur. Square Enix Europe reserves, in its sole discretion, the right to extend or alter the Sweepstakes Entry Period for whatever reason without notification.
<u>Prize</u>
For each Sweepstakes Entry Period, Square Enix shall select one (1) Sweepstakes prize winner (each, a “Sweepstakes Winner”) at random from amongst the Live Stream viewers who submit an entry during the relevant Sweepstakes Entry Period.
The Sweepstakes Winner for the first Sweepstakes Entry Period shall receive the following prize:
- Final Fantasy XIII Art Prints (approximate retail value £10.99) The Sweepstakes Winner for the second Sweepstakes Entry Period shall receive the following prize:
- Final Fantasy XIII Play Arts KAI - Lightning (approximate retail value £49.99) The Sweepstakes Winner for the third Sweepstakes Entry Period shall receive the following prize:
- Final Fantasy XIII Play Arts KAI - Vanille (approximate retail value £49.99) The Sweepstakes Winner for the fourth Sweepstakes Entry Period shall receive the following prize:
- Final Fantasy XIII Steam Key (approximate retail value £10.99) The Sweepstakes Winner for the fifth Sweepstakes Entry Period shall receive the following prize:
- Final Fantasy XIII-2 Steam Key (approximate retail value £12.99) The Sweepstakes Winners for the sixth, seventh, and eighth Sweepstakes Entry Periods (1 Winner per) shall receive the following prize:
- Final Fantasy XIII Poster signed by Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama (approximate retail value £19.99) Only eligible entrants will be eligible to win the prize described above. Entrants may not win or receive more than one prize. Prizes are not transferable. Square Enix Europe shall not provide a cash alternative in place of any Prize.
<u>Entry Period</u>
04 December 2015 6:00pm GMT and 04 December 2015 8:30pm GMT. Further, an entrant must be present in the Live Stream in the Twitch chat window during a Sweepstakes Entry Period to enter.
<u>Winner Selection</u>
Square Enix Europe shall utilize a computer process to select eight (8) winner(s) at random for the Sweepstakes Entry Period (each, a “Winner”). Each Winner will be notified via private message on Twitch within one (1) month of the conclusion of the applicable Sweepstakes Entry Period.
Square Enix Europe may choose to send notification messages to the Winners during the Live Stream and, if so, Square Enix Europe may ask each Winner to reply to the notification message within ten (10) minutes (or any other period of time specified by Square Enix Europe) and provide the Winner’s mailing address. If the Winner fails to provide his or her mailing address within the time allotted by Square Enix Europe, or if the winner is not present in the Live Stream at the time Square Enix Europe attempts to send the notification message, the Winner shall be deemed ineligible and Square Enix may select another entrant as the Winner.
Square Enix Europe may publicly announce the name, username, and/or other identifying information about the Winner of the Sweepstakes Entry Period in the Live Stream, on Square Enix Europe’s social media platforms, and/or elsewhere.
The name of the winner will be sent to anyone who requests the same within three (3) months of the conclusion of the Sweepstakes. Requests should be sent to Square Enix at the registered address above.
No cash alternative shall be provided in place of the Prize.
<u>Inappropriate Submissions</u>
Entries containing obscenity, vulgarity, discrimination, or any other offensive subject matter and/or containing any plagiarized or copyrighted material will not be considered by the judges. Entries which infringe upon copyright/intellectual property, personal credit, privacy, are counter to public order and/or morals, are judged to be grossly deviant from the established theme, do not contain all of the required information or contain erroneous information may face disqualification. Square Enix Europe reserves the right to judge whether or not material is appropriate for public display.
<u>LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY</u>
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW SQUARE ENIX EUROPE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ENTRY THAT IS SUBMITTED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES THAT INFRINGES THE COPYRIGHT OR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF A THIRD PARTY. YOU WARRANT AND AGREE THAT YOUR ENTRY WILL CONTAIN WORK THAT IS ENTIRELY ORIGINAL TO YOU AND DOES NOT INFRINGE OR INTERFERE WITH ANY THIRD PARTY COPYRIGHT OR OTHER RIGHTS AND YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY SQUARE ENIX EUROPE AGAINST ANY LOSS ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF YOUR WARRANTY.
In the event that an entry violates a third-party’s copyright, the user’s Service Account may be suspended or cancelled. All entries and other materials (the "Entry Materials") (including all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith) submitted by you become the property of Square Enix Europe upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any entrant. In consideration of our acceptance and review of your Entry Materials into the Sweepstakes, you hereby assign to Square Enix Europe absolutely all right, title and interest for the full duration of copyright in and to the Entry Materials throughout the world. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge that Square Enix Europe will own all rights to use, modify, and make derivative works of the Entry Materials, without separate compensation to you or any other person or entity. You agree to take, at Square Enix Europe's expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Square Enix Europe to effect, perfect, or confirm Square Enix Europe's ownership rights as set forth above in this paragraph. Entry Materials may be used by entrants only for purposes of the Sweepstakes or for private, personal, non-public viewing. These Rules and all or any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
