By Square Enix Team

Say goodbye to your loved ones for a while… because Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is out now for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita! Who’s gonna save Spira, if you don’t?

For fans of the originals, reliving this adventure will be a nostalgic trip back in time to when both games launched on the PlayStation 2 over 10 years ago! Aeons, Blitzball, Al Bhed Primers, Omega Ruins, and of course, that scene in Macalania Spring, will send your memory into a deja vu overload! Newcomers to the game, well, you guys are in for a real treat today. Get ready to experience an epic adventure, with some of the most beloved characters in RPG history, let alone the Final Fantasy series. Don’t take my word for it though; feast your eyes upon our launch trailer, where you’ll be transported back to a time of Blitzball tournaments, Chocobo racing, and world ending monsters!

So what’s new in the HD update? Here's a quick recap for you:

  • Two classic RPGs now beautifully remastered –Two of the most successful entries in the legendary RPG series, now looking even better than you remembered them.- International editions of both games – The International versions of Final Fantasy X and X-2 make their way outside Japan for the first time ever, with a heap of additional content not included in the originals.- Updated soundtrack – Over 60 tracks from the original soundtracks have been rearranged or remastered in high definition audio!- Full Trophy support – Full PlayStation 3 and PS Vita Trophy support is included, for each title.- Cross-Save support – Continue playing the same game across each of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions, by saving your data to the PlayStation Network. You need both versions of the game for this feature to work. Cross-buy is not supported. I don’t know about you, but what I’m looking forward to most is using Anima again and seeing his lower body unleash that myriad of punches on enemies! Overkill, yes, but always enjoyable viewing.

So what’s your favourite memory from the FFX/X-2? Dodging 200 lightning bolts? Sphere Break? Let us know in the comments below!
