How the LEFT ALIVE soundtrack was created

Go behind the scenes at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and find out how the music was made
By Duncan Heaney

As we’ve discussed before, here’s a crazy amount of talent involved in LEFT ALIVE - and that extends to the music.

The minds behind the LEFT ALIVE soundtrack are among the best in the biz, and this new featurette highlights the creativity and attention to detail they’ve brought to the game:

Mech-ing beautiful music

LEFT ALIVE features an original score, composed by Square Enix’s Hidenori Iwasaki (Front Mission series). He’s collaborating with a who’s who of musical talent, including veteran television and film score mixer Shinnosuke Miyazawa (007 Spectre, Finding Dory, The Last Guardian) and orchestrator Jordan Seigel (Trolls, Ant-Man and the Wasp).

In the video, filmed at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios, the trio talk about how they approached the soundtrack to the upcoming action survival shooter. They explain their influences and inspirations and give you an insight into the actual process of recording a musical score.

Of course, the vid also lets you hear samples of the energetic, emotional score that will be a key part of LEFT ALIVE. It’s definitely going to be a soundtrack to listen to with the volume cranked high.

You won’t have to wait long to hear the full thing. LEFT ALIVE releases on PlayStation 4 and Steam on March 5, 2019.
