Lightning strikes in Eorzea!

Adventurers of Eorzea! Tomorrow marks the start of a cross-over collaboration event between Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. From tomorrow morning (08:00 GMT), you can jump into FFXIV: A Realm Reborn and take part in quests featuring the renowned heroine.

Event Date and Times

The story arc for the event is comprised of multiple quests that start from Thursday November 14, 2013 at 08:00 GMT and finish on Monday December 9, 2013 at 14:59 GMT.

All Chapters start at 08:00 GMT and each chapter will remain available as new chapters are unlocked until the event closes on December 9.

Event Rewards

That’s not all, there're event rewards up for grabs that include unique Final Fantasy XIII character gear, such as Lightning and Snow’s complete outfit, and a range of familiar weaponry from the saga. 

Don’t worry if you miss out on these exquisite goodies, the event is scheduled to return, just like Lightning, on February 14, 2014 to celebrate the release of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

And don’t forget, as part of this cross-over collaboration, in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, players can complete a special quest to obtain the Miqo’te outfit for Lightning. This outfit is inspired by the Miqo’te race from Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, complete with the distinctive ears and tail. Customisable weapons and shields with designs influenced by the three main cities located in the world of Eorzea, are also available in the game.

Taking Part

To take part in the event, you’ll need to pop down to the following locations and speak to the reporters there:

Chapter 1: For the Winsome

Required Level: 12 or above

Quest Prerequisites: None

Quest Location: Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks - Peter Winsome

Chapter 2: Seeking the Scoop

Required Level: 26 or above

Quest Prerequisites: Complete "For the Winsome"

Quest Location: Uldah, Steps of Nald - Dural Tharal

Chapter 3: The Knight's Passage

Required Level: 38 or above

Quest Prerequisites: Complete "Seeking the Scoop"

Quest Location: Old Gridania - Kipih Jakkya

Chapter 4: Wonder and Lightning

Required Level: 45 or above

Quest Prerequisites: Complete "The Knight's Passage"

Quest Location: Old Gridania - Kipih Jakkya
